Rainbow Waters Women's Fly Fishing Academy 

I'd like to invite you on a great learning adventure. Over the years, I've been approached countless times by women who have expressed interest in starting in the sport of fly fishing or improving their skills. They want a course that is a women's only experience with a female instructor.

So, we have introduced a special ladies only instruction and vacation package designed to be both educational as well as great fun. I am blessed to be able to guide in British Columbia, Canada, in one of the most beautiful places on earth and I would like to share this experience with you. The BC trout are plentiful and often large. We will be fishing on and around Quesnel Lake with 500 miles of shoreline, numerous feeder creeks, rivers and abundant wildlife with few or no other people present. Imagine a classroom such as this! I'll be your instructor and guide, and I would be honored to have you join me at the Rainbow Waters Women's Fly Fishing Academy.

• Rod and reel components - their differences and what is best suited to you
• Lines - different types and their uses
• Leaders and tippets - which ones to use and how to tie your own
• Instruction on tying basic knots
• Fly selection - different uses and presentations
• Entomology and other food sources
• Basic trout biology and behavior patterns
• Casting techniques & skills
• Line control and presentation
• Boats - types to cover different situations
• Hooking-up and playing your catch
• Proper release techniques
• Angling etiquette
• Wildlife awareness - safety in the wilderness
• Safety in and around the water - including proper wading techniques

Most of the course will be taught on the water, which is by far the best classroom. Our program will also include lots of personal angling time, and a great deal of fun. A comprehensive instruction manual will be given to each person to take home for reminders of the techniques they have learned.

Most equipment will be supplied, with the exception of the following items:

Confirmation, Deposit, Cancellation & "No Show" Policies:

Bookings are confirmed with a 50% deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, but with 60 days notice may be transferred to another available date in the same season. Your deposit confirms and guarantees your reservation. If you fail to show. Or cancel outside of the agreed cancellation policy time period, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of your intended stay to the credit card number given at time of booking.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Your authorization to use your credit card number for deposit and/or final payment indicates your compliance with our booking terms and conditions, whether or not you have actually signed the appropriate draft. Verbal authorization of your credit card confirms your reservation.

Prices are quoted in Canadian funds and based on prices current at the time of printing. These prices may be subject to change without notice, based on the international exchange rates.
